The 27th ECBC Plenary Meeting in Vancouver, Canada on the 18 of April which included the Energy efficient Mortgages Action Plan (EeMAP) & Energy efficiency Data Portal & Protocol (EeDaPP) Panel Event, gathered together more than 170 participants including key decision makers from the covered bond industry, issuers, investors, service providers, utilities, government & regulatory officials at national, EU and international level, rating agencies, journalists, etc. from over 35 covered bond jurisdictions.
The EeMAP & EeDaPP Green Panel was held after the Plenary Meeting on the evening of 18 April 2018 (17h20-18h30) in the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel and it focused on the role that these initiatives, supported by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, can play in the development of a “green” mortgage product in Europe with the objective of supporting the region’s COP21 commitments.
All lending institutions have been invited to join the forthcoming Energy Efficient Mortgages Initiative Pilot Scheme , signalling their interest by email to the Energy Efficient Mortgages Initiative Coordinator, Luca Bertalot Secretary General of the EMF-ECBC, on lbertalot@hypo.org.
Under the pilot scheme, any lending institution will have the opportunity to voluntarily implement the draft pilot scheme framework and analyse the feasibility of launching an energy efficient mortgage product.
An Energy Efficient Mortgages event will take place on 14 June 2018 in Windsor, United Kingdom and will mark the formal launch of the Pilot Scheme. Save the date and join us in Windsor, at the Cumberland Lodge, the historic former royal residence in the heart of Windsor Great Park!
